Sounds Around

Here's a fine way to start the morning: SoundTransit, with tons of field recordings from around the world and a nifty feature (called, also, a SoundTransit) that lets you pick a origin point and a destination, select a few stops along the way, and combine the appropriate MP3s into one mix that you can keep or share with friends. There's a tremendous variety of sounds -- everything from trains in Berlin to the annual burning of the "Zozobra" puppet in New Mexico. Plenty of fun.
